From the CEO
Welcome to the fourth and final newsletter for 2011, which provides us with an opportunity to have a quick review of the year.
February saw the Australia Cup series kick off in all events on the Sydney Olympic venue whilst March saw the start of the ISSF World Cup season in Concepcion, Chile, and from attendances, in Australia and overseas, one can only note that the sport is truly alive.
The ISSF World Cup scene moved into Sydney on the 21st March where 682 contestants from 68 countries (with 942 starts) came together to make it the largest ISSF World Cup to date, only being beaten in June by Munich (804, 85, 1208).
To those who so freely volunteered their time, our genuine heartfelt thanks; the event could not have run so smoothly without your input and dedication to your sport. Australia had entered a team of 52.
